Hobbies/Interests: Reading and bike riding

What do you enjoy most about teaching? Being able to see how excited my students get when they realize what they can accomplish!

What do you find most challenging about teaching? Making sure that you are challenging those students that are learning at a higher level but yet challenging those that are struggling but not expecting too much so that they begin to shut down.

Best tip for new teachers: Don’t give up….learn from your mistakes because that is what makes you a better teacher. Nobody is perfect!

Best tip for career teachers: Change is good….I’ve had a few changes over the past few years and these changes have made me a much stronger teacher.

Favorite piece of advice for students: Always do your best and as long as you do that the sky is the limit

What being a Gold Star Teacher means to you: Being a Gold Star Teacher means that I have made a difference in a child’s life.
