Hobbies/Interests: Reading, football, video games, comics, hanging out with my family, going to movies

What do you enjoy most about teaching? Watching students foster new skills that will be useful for life outside of school. 

What do you find most challenging about teaching? Finding new ways to challenge students to ensure higher levels of rigor. 

Best tip for new teachers: Don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance!

Best tip for career teachers: Always be willing to try something outside your comfort zone!

Favorite piece of advice for students: Get involved in something at school!

What being a Gold Star Teacher means to you: This is an incredibly humbling experience! I can’t begin to put it in words what this award means to me. I know I wouldn’t be recognized if it weren’t for the support and guidance West High and my family have provided me throughout the years.
